Looking to buy a 98-00 rs4s s1 and wanted to know of the best dealers/importers to go through around melbourne?

cheers.

You can't...

98-00 are all series2's, also s1 manuals were never made. A few have been converted.

Buy private, you save a lot of bucks.

meant s2, just looking for one either like.. black or gunmetal grey and about as stock as possible, with the major 100k service done.

pretty much my dream car, but because of my job its hard to get out and go see the ones for sale. bit of a pain.

J-Spec Imports are melbourne based, may be worth having a browse of their website. They show auction and dealer cars currently in Japan, if you want to pick one to import. Just on a quick look of their site to give you some examples I found:

Auction Cars (Japan)

Dealer Cars (Japan)

Personally I would be aiming for something with under 100,000km's, on the plus side if you have the 100,000km service done by a reputable workshop atleast you have some assurance that it's been done properly. That's just my take on it, cars 100,000km plus are going to show a lot of interior and exterior wear and tear.

I bought mine through luxury and performance vehciles in Scoresby road bayswater. Frank Wang is his name and the number is 97206789. He was good to deal with and ive had mine for 4 years now and its never missed a beat. he can also organise a 3 year used car warranty which is worth having..
