hey guys recently Ive gone down to my local Tyre shop that i normally purchase my tires... he usually supplies me with my ku31's but at this point hes had no luck sourcing me any, hes offered me some sumitomo's Z3's ... ive heard of sumitomo but never there silica range... he reckons there a better Tyre to the ku31's and have a much better life span aswell... i just wanted to hear back some feedback from fellow skyline users whom used the sumitomos

the sizes im purchasing are 255-40-17's

there only 20$ each more than the ku31's aswell

i had sumi's for a while and they sucked the wang....

go ku36's

which sumis? that's about as useful as saying "I had dunlops and they were crap". Which dunlops? sport max or monzas? big difference.

same with falken. FK452 is a fairly well regarded tyre but ZE326 is atrotious.

apparently after some research... i'dd say the sumi's are an underestimated Tyre... they spend nothing on advertising unlike dunlop, there commonly used on drift cars beingst a silica tyre... apparently there actually a decent tyre the Z3 and are quite comparable to the ku31 and the better falkon range...

I've got the HTR ZIII and they are great. I've had the ZII put on for a day as well (stupid tyre place put on the wrong ones and told me to come back tomorrow) I gave them a bit of a test and they were much worse than the ZIII. Totally different feel, tread pattern, etc.

Z3's have a stiff sidewall which gives great turn-in but doesn't give much ride comfort. Wet grip is average. Dry grip is good. Feedback is excellent.

For the money I can't fault them at all.
