OK, we've got several products that work > next few Qs...

Q. What product if any, can keep the lens from yellowing again some months down the track?

Q. Is there a high quality UV-resistant sealant that can or should be applied after cleaning?

Q. Does it tend to happen mostly on the passenger side (as it does on my Forester), because it cops more grime on the LHS?

Q. And therefore, do imported USA cars (having been driven on the other side of the road) tend to also get yellowing/dulling on the passenger side ie. RHS?

I've tried many things previously on my headlights - anything from brasso, sandpaper, and PlasticX etc - all of them worked, but some had better finishes than others. All of them started going yellow again after 6-9 months though...

I just used glassylite on my headlights on Thursday night - easy system - brought them up crystal clear and got rid of the yellowing in my passenger-side R34 lense. The final UV coating you apply is supposed to help with Australian conditions and prevent the yellowing from occuring again. For the price I paid (maybe $35 incl. p&h from their website) I figured it was worth a go - especially given they claim it's got that UV sealant/protectant. Purely on their initial results of making them nice and non-yellow and clear - I would highly recommend it - it works.

Only time will tell whether it resolves the yellowing coming back every 6+ months :D

As a follow-up to my post back in July - it's now 2 months later, and no signs of yellowing yet. Maybe the UV sealant it uses does work. Either way, I'm pretty impressed :D

+1 for Autosol. I've used it on my headlights before and it worked a treat.

Maybe try waxing or sealing the headlights after you've polished. Any good carnuba wax or synthetic sealant should give you some decent protection and prevent dirt and grime build up on the headlight.

sorry for digging up an old thread, 1 question, did those polish clean the inside of the lenses? I saw some dried water drops inside the lenses that makes it look yellowish, how to get rid of the dirt inside of the head lights??

Anyone know of a place in adelaide that will take them apart and clean the insides, there is something about putting my plastic lights in the oven im not comfortable with lol.

Ive been using the PlastX which works a treat on the outside of the lense but there is water residue on the inside and its bugging me.
