Rb20 Power Surge

hey guys hope someone can help, i was driving to work the other morning and my car started to surge while accelerating, it lasted a few seconds the stopped and drove fine for the rest of the day but has since started to randomly loose power for a split second and then it will pick up again and drive fine. any ideas what this could be??

when was fuel filter last changed?

check ur ecu for fault codes

otherwise yes what bwr suggested as a start at least

my gtr did the same as what you are describing and the afm's needed a re-solder

I've owned the car for about nine months and don't know if it has ever been changed so ill defiantly be doing that asap, as for the afm i swapped over with a mates of his Rb20 and still had the surge problem, fingers crossed its only the fuel filter.

hook up a fuel pressure gauge and drive it, or take it to a workshop.

seen a 32 that was so lean from a dead pump, it wouldnt rev out at all.

the guy had still been doing burnouts with it like that, dont ask how then engine survived! LOL

checked for fault codes yet? do it first!
