Involve In A Car Accident Needs A Few Bits And Pieces

Recommended Posts

Long story short, stupid bitch driving a swift on Lutwyche rd heading outbound on the far right lane couldn't stop in time for the car in-front waiting to turn right, smash her car into the corolla and decided it was cool to hit the gas pedals and turning her steering wheel to the middle lane, side swiping my right rear door, rear quarter, my side skirt, rear arches and wheel in the process, and then bounce off hitting me in the rear.

Right now I'm waiting on the 3 different accessor from different insurance company to quote/access the cars but in the meantime I need to find a few places that could fix/supply HKS Hipermax suspension, Cusco Upper Arms, Cusco camber kits. Any recommendations and/or experience with the said company would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance fellow SAU'ers.

I'm with Just-Car, they told me even-thought I'm not at fault it will still have to be one of there approved repairer to repair the car. I have the option of going to my own repairer but they will no longer give me the agree value of the car and also they will void my life time repair guarantee.

Hey Mikey. Was she insured. If so then wont her insurance company have to approve your repairer?

Thank GOD she had insurance!!! Her insurer(RACQ) does not care which smash repair I go to, as long as "all repairs must deemed necessary". I personally don't know what's that suppose to mean???

Sounds like you're doing far too much dicking around. Call Just Car, give them the woman's details, tell them to contact RACQ and work out between them who is to repair/how it's being repaired. Just make sure you tell them that before any work happens that you have to authorize it.

Stop wasting time on the phone and make them do it.

Maybe I'm doing far too much then I should, but I rather spend a few more hours and dollars to get what is best for my car, then to end up paying a second time to fix the stuff up.

I've given all the details to my insurance company including a police report that goes with it, but at the moment she is denying anything and everything. Her defense is "The car infront of me stop suddenly without reason, therefore I could not stop in time, BUT I try to avoid him by moving into the middle lane which unfortunately hitting both cars in the process.".

Either way thank you all the SAU'er for helping me and giving me assistance in this case.

Mikey what the car in front of her did is not your problem. she needs to sort that out with them. But yeah let your insurance company handle the lot

You don't have to pay if they stuff it up. If Just Cars say it has to be repaired through who they say and don't let you use your repairer, and you're not happy with the work, then it's Just Car's responsibility to get it repaired a second time until it's back in the same condition it was originally in. The only time you'd have to pay more is if the car wound up being in better condition that it originally was. Haven't you ever read your policy?

It doesn't matter how much she denies it. She's at fault pure and simple (failure to leave a safe stopping distance in front of her car, and failing to give way while changing lanes). They have your statement, the other person's statement, and her statement. The insurance company handles it all from here. You don't need to be involved until they tell you where to take your car.

i had to bold it for truth lol

Nice john.

But even if it goes through either insurance companies repairers, arent they guaranteed for life?

Get it done by your insurance company. It's their job to hunt people for cash. =)

Lucky the cops didnt say its your fault because you drive an import. =P

It's only guaranteed for life if it's in the agreed policy from the insurer.

It will be done by his insurance company. Just Car use their repairers, pay the repairers, and RACQ pay Just Car. This is why he needs to stay out of it. The insurance companies handle this stuff every day and don't need people stepping on their dicks and getting in the way.

    • Despite having minimal clothing because of the hot weather right now, I did have rubber gloves and safety glasses on just in-case for most of the time. Yes, I was scrubbing with my gloves on before, but brushing with a brush removes the remaining rust. To neutralize, I was thinking distilled water and baking soda, or do you think that would be overkill?
    • You can probably scrub the rust with a toothbrush or something. After you get the rust off flush well with water to neutralize and you will probably want to also use a fuel tank sealer to keep it from rusting again.
    • The sodium citrate solution is designed to buffer the citric acid to keep it from attacking metal quite so much, the guy that came up with that recipe did a ton of testing on how much metal loss occurs over time and it's nothing crazy unless you forget about it for months:
    • Ohhh I see lol To be honest the main reason why I wanted to start modding is because of a business trip to Japan and Indonesia. I saw many cool and modded cars all throughout in these countries, especially Japan. I myself am of Chinese+Japanese nationality and when living in china (never lived in Japan js my dad side lol) I remember staring at these cars pass by with their loud tacky exhausts and insane wide body kits. And when I went back to Japan, I got even more invested even asking people about their cars and why they modded. Most gave similar answers to what you said but funny enough one guy just said that he saw the need for speed movie being filmed once in Tokyo I think near Shibuya Crossing and got inspired to tune and mod. After that I just started to fantasize on owning a car like that. Also tbh I prefer the R32 over the R34 it's just the R34 is more iconic lol (also apparently better aftermarket support than the R32) and my only goal really is just to make the car mine and make it fun to drive. As much as I love my Cayenne it's pretty bland to drive. Sure the interior is nice and pretty, gives you attention yada yada but I've wanted to experience what it is like to have a car that is truly yours. I suppose thats the goal so far. Haha if you find where I'm from, then sure. Ill help you out on your next "financial decision"
    • From what I am discovering, the grey plug is auto signal. If you car is manual it's not relevant to your set up man.
