Hello all

just needing an opinion about the fan on my R33 its roaring all the time especially when you acclerate is this normal?

its been doing this the last few days it drowns out the engine noise as soon as I drive off to work early in the morning the fans roaring

and when I'm on my way home from work its roaring as well in all the 4 years that iv'e owned this car i've never heard the fan this loud

and the temp guage is sitting on just a bit above cold, when i got it serviced early this month I asked the guy to checkout the thermostat

and they told me straight away that there is nothing wrong with it, what do you guys think.

well the temp gauge should sit about halfway when running, so there is something going on there. this however shouldn't be causing the fan to be roaring. i would still look at changing it.

as for the fan, the clutch in the fan is probably stuffed and therefore it isn't disengaging. this is better than having it not engage at all because it at least means the engine can't overheat. simplest sollution is to find someone selling a clutch fan and try putting that in to see what it does.
