Help Please!

Hey SAU,

with this R33 I picked up the sound system is great, but I have some alpine type r component 2 way speakers, sitting brand new in the box, because i dont want to change the front speakers in the line because they already have a decent set of clarion components in the front, would it be good to change my amplified rear 6" clarion 2 way co axil speakers in the rear to the Alpine components, or would it sound worse?

all depends what model are clarions and alpines

if i was you i would swap them over for new alpine ones

Would it sound weird having tweets in the rear rather then coaxil speakers is what the question should be.

no it will not sound weird i had setup like that in my old car

to me it sounded good but everyone is different

fyi, true coax speakers have tweeters , unless you have a wizzer cone model(paper horn/cone in the middle of the woofer)

but your alpines would most likely sound better, depending on the models

In the rear i just run the mid, as the tweater draws the sound back too much. I would put the type r's in the front as they are probably better then the clarions.
