Gtr Center Gauge Question

Apologies if this has been covered before, couldn't find it in the search

What's the middle gauge, and is it normal that my temp is always very low? 70-80 degrees?

The oil symbol would indicate that it is oil temp

It is your engine oil temp gauge.

Did you just notice the gauge not going up or never really looked at it at all?

Have you taken the car for a spirited run to see if the gauge actually goes up?

Normal oil temp should just sit under the 2nd bar (90 degrees C).

Its always been low and havent bothered/me much. Was just wondering if its normal. Yea on long distance drives my needle goes close to 90. Just seems a bit silly to have a gauge go up to 150 if the norm is down there. If it ever reached 150 i thought you would have other things to worry about

You should be fine.

If you go light in the accelerator and don't boost much whilst driving, the temps won't get high at all.

Also being winter at the moment, the temps won't get too high either.

On hot summer days I have seen he gauge go up above the 2nd bar, probably getting to the 100 degree C mark.

That's with driving the car hard (On boost) on a hot day.

Just make sure you let it cool down for a few mins.

It'll just be the sender/sensor unit, common problem.
