Im in the process of installing a reverse and front cam and want to access accessory power and figure one of the easiest spots may be the back of the power socket in the centre console. I've popped the rear of the rear console up but for the life of me cannot disengage the front pawls which engage into the rear of the front section of the console. I don't want to force it. How do the front pawls lock into the front centre console? Do I pull the sides of the rear console out or rearwards or upwards? I had no difficulty with any of the dash panels! Any help would be much appreciated.

Well you are a brave man playing around with a car like a R35 but this should help you out i hope.

Hope that helps ya. :bunny:

Thanks but I've already got the manual. It's just not terribly descriptive about how to "disengage" the front pawls....

Managed to do it. You pull upwards and backwards quite firmly and it comes out. If you pull up you'll break the pawls. If you pull back you prob might not break them but it requires significantly more force. Simple info like this in the manuals would make life a lot simpler!
