Nice!!! Good to see your experimenting shooting at 1.4/2 :P A lot of the guys in the USA have had problems with front focus/back focus, but yours looks spot on!

I'm not so sure... the focus is pretty fkd really. I think i'm experiencing this back/front focus with it... occasionally it'll focus sweet as, other times its just all wrong. I'll find some examples n post up later this week

Focus test charts can be inaccurate so try some real world testing as well.

Remember, shooting at such a wide aperture, requires patience and it's a learning curve to get sharp shots. Most lenses wide open will be a bit soft, but especially at 1.4-f/2 if your subject moves a tiny bit or your focus is a little bit off, it will have different results. The DoF at 1.4 from like 6ft away is about 2 inches. So not much room to play with.

Maybe try and shoot at different distances, e.g. 5feet, 10 feet, 15 feet, 20 feet and compare them.

On the other hand, i'm sure it's probably the lens. Do you have a camera with microadjustment?

I read it somewhere on POTN.. Can't remember the topic now lol.. But a few guys found inacuraccies and they knew what they were doing. But it was with another chart, not this one.

So i should re-phrase!

SOME test charts are inaccurate :)

Better Zennon?
