I'm not looking for the cheapest tune I'm looking for the safest and best tune so

How about you talk to each workshop, and decide yourself?

There are a billion bad storeis, a billion good ones.

Go there and work it out in person.

Both have good rep so I guess its whats closer to you and what you personally choose. I myself got a tune at status and no complaints.

What he said.

But best you talk to them yourself and get to know them, all for the better.

yeah good point iv had a chat to status and he quoted around $800 for nistune and repmap (depending if my clutch or coilpack hold out )

havent personaly had a chat to chases but i was more wondering what peoples experiences were like because a mate got quoted cheaper at chasers but its about the quality of the tune (i dont know much about it they could tell me there changing the polarity of the flux capasiter and i would belive them lol)

just thort id ask before i made the mistake of going for the cheaper option !!

trent is a mate and has spent countless hours on my car, so i will rep him till the cows come home :D his tunes are as good as you will get and he specialises in nistune.

chasers are also excellent. paul has been flown overseas to tune cars on multiple occasions

you really can go wrong with either option

Trent from Status (Chequered) Tuning is a member on SAU, you can PM him for any questions, I have meet him at a SAU General Meeting and my mechanic has heard only good things about his work.

Members on here will agree with me.

SAU memeber Ujin (Kenny) had his R32 GTR tuned at Chasers with a wicked 350+ kW's and it is an awesome piece of machinery.

Well if you know nothing about the tune and so on - then how will you know if you do/don't get a bad one?

Well that's why I'm asking !!!!!

where are you located? the workshops you mention are on opposite sides of melbourne..

I'm in cranbourne but work in footscray so ether one is fine

I'm looking at going with DND with Nistune. I was all keen to go with Trent but he's $250 more expensive. I'm certainly not going to suggest he's not worth that extra coin, but I am on a pretty tight budget so $250 is $250. And at the end of the day I figure most/all of the tuners on here are going to be fairly well respected. If they were no good they would have been figured out by now and essentially run out of town so I reckon it would be difficult to go wrong with any of 'em.

That's my 2c anyway :D

Yeah good if there on here to begin with then it's a fair chance they are going to do a good job after all a forum like this can kill there name if there not doing a good job !!!

Thanks to the people with helpful replys
