32's are getting old and most will require a fair bit of work on them. They are getting close to 20 years old now. You need to factor in not only the purchase price, but I'd say at least 10 grand on top of that for incidentals and maintanence etc. I'm getting my gearbox rebuilt and the diff and various other driveline components don't seem to be too far behind the gearbox in their condition. All these things add up.

What these guys say is true, unless you get really really lucky you do end up spending a lot of money on them. I've been very lucky with mine, the main thing that was worn on it was suspension and of course that isn't cheap to fix.

Anything else I've spent isn't really a consideration. My wear and tear is due to some pretty extensive modifications. And there were no issues with the engine when I rebuilt it, I was just preparing for more power.
