Hi All,

It pains me to say but my pride and joy is up for sale. :) Need to find a family car as there's a baby on the way (I attempted arguing the feasability of making a baby seat work in a coupe, however to no avail)...

The R34 GT-R has always been my dream car so it obviously goes without saying that this legendary motor vehicle has been meticulously cared for. Always garaged, washed, polished, serviced and driven by a responsible and mature enthusiast. No EBC fitted, this car has not been boosted or abused. I am the 3rd owner, the car was imported at about 80,000km from Japan by the 2nd owner in Melbourne. I flew there to buy it around 2 years ago after a long seach for the right Godzilla. Although fairly stock, as any GT-R afficionado knows, the RB26DETT is explosive and I'm gonna miss the sound and feel of this car. :)

The interor is A1, and virtually as it left the showroom. Exterior is excellent with only the odd very minor stone chip on the front bar that you'd expect from a 1999 model vehicle. When washed the bayside blue paint colour is absolutely beautiful. There is a minor shopping centre dent and scratch to the driver's side rear quarter which I am in the process of arranging to have repaired by a quality panel beater prior to sale. Overall any inspection will confirm that this car has been lovingly cared for and, in my humble opinion, with this colour, stance and wheels, is one of the best looking GT-Rs around. Serviced regularly (log books to prove) using Motul synthetic oil. Big-dollar 100,000km service has been performed with no expense spared. Minor mechanical maintenance has always been carried out when needed such as new brake discs and new front CV boots recently. Receipts for all such work performed. I have never had any dramas at all with this car, it has been an absolute pleasure to own.

I welcome any inspection but please no time wasters. The car has ICE including Kenwood DVD/GPS unit, Rockford Fosgate splits and amps/sub in boot however these will be uninstalled upon sale with original equipment returned in its place.

I am going to organise some better quality photographs prior to selling as I want a keepsake of my dream car anyway, once these are taken I will upload. For the moment the linked pics will have to suffice. I have included some of the car as it was when I purchased with white Nismo rims and minus the clear indicators which I added later. To answer the inevitable questions, yes the car is badged as a V-spec, however it is not a V-spec. This is how it was when I bought it, I don't know why the previous owner saw fit to badge it as something that it is not.

Thanks for looking,

Hey Mate, thanks.

Yeah I'm gonna take a load of high res pics once I can nail my photographer buddy down to a day to help me out.

Haha I know mate, gotta say goodbye to this baby to make way for another.

    • Yes.  The only scenario I can imagine when the answer isn't yes, is if you drive like there is highway patrol behind you at all times.  If your car currently runs, enjoy it and keep saving. Better costs more, keep saving until you can budget the better ECU. It's worth it.  Nope. Plenty of us making >300kw on unopened motors. Mine is unopened and makes about 350kw if I turn everything up, its fine (lots of caveats here, how the car will be used/abused, how long you expect the engine to last between rebuilds, how has the engine been maintained prior to coming into your ownership, etc etc).
    • Sorry just wanting to clarify, at this power goal, which should I be going? Also, More info regarding suspension, the rear upper camber arms were used to get the camber back to i believe around -0.5 ~ -1 degree (@ Road and Race in Rydalmere), I forgot the exact figure, but ALOT less camber than what it came originally which was like -2.5degrees. Are the traction arms still recommended? The bilsteins from SydneyKid, they've got 400lb/in fronts & 275/in in the rear, revalved to his specs. Intercooler, I'm just having a look at some on Rakuten.jp and some other japanese sites. Might get something from back there, GReddy, Blitz or HPI, all crossflow. Looking at roughly $450-$500 AUD + shipping... Theres not many choices except that chinese branded Justjap unless you go for blitz return flow. Yeah, only downside with Haltech is the price ahhaha, so expensive, and with all the sensors if I go that route... $$$$$ yeesh. Are headstuds/gaskets needed for <300akw?
    • Haltech fanboi reporting in. Buy the Haltech!
    • You can try shoving a borescope down there to see what's up.
    • I could see someone trying this to save money on oil changes.
