Nicko_2010
Thank you for your inquiry. We are sorry but we do not export our ECU to overseas due to specification diferrences of ECU settings. Thank you for your mail again. Best regards, Hoshino IMPUL Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/328313-impul/#findComment-5346865 Share on other sites
xscape237
I'm under the impression that the factory ECU contains security/immobiliser data, in that its not as simple as simple unplugging one ECU and plugging in another. Nissan needs to recode it. The IMPUL ECUs are based on the factory item and would be the same. You will have trouble installing one outside of Japan. Somebody correct me if im wrong. Anyhow, I have one in my car actually. If you are interested here is a dyno chart.. check out the AFRs. They are all over the place and a little lean. So you're not missing out on much. p.s., yes, the power figure is low, but i'm told that its just this particular dyno. In comparison a 100% stock 350z did 148kw, and a 2005 rev.up 350z with a few mods did 169kw (but my mid range is about 5kw beefier). http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//v35dyno.jpg Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/328313-impul/#findComment-5347282 Share on other sites
scotty nm35
You can safely add 20kw to that graph, not a bad figure but I would be worried about that lean out in the midrange... I have this impul ecu installed as well. Dont know what it does i got dyno at 161.4kw , how can you add 20kw ? xscape237
I think he is suggesting that the RE Customs dyno printout is reading about 20kw low. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/328313-impul/#findComment-5350966 Share on other sites
Nicko_2010
it costs $2000 and doesn't work? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/328313-impul/#findComment-5351294 Share on other sites
xscape237
It does work, but its definitely not worth the price tag. The main benefits for me are a higher rev limit, and no 180 km/ph speed cut. I've done well over 200 at phillip island. Anyway.. check this out. An overlay of my dyno chart against a mates 2005 rev up 350z (factory 221kw). You will notice that the rev up motor has a much much better top end, but mine makes a little more power everywhere else. Probably due to the aggressive (and almost dangerous) tune of the IMPUL ecu.
