Strange Sucking Sound

only just noticed it but when i accelerate i can hear a strange sucking sound, almost sounds like a turbo winding up, but i dont have one?

any ideas whats causing the sound of air being sucked into something?

Yeah +1 on info of the car...

Check your intake piping, there might be a leak somewhere. Also check for exhaust leaks, stranger things have happened...

Does the car have any other symptoms? I.e. Power loss, rough idling, stalling etc?

its completly stock,

and ive just had the exhaust checked over, ill check out the piping but the only other think i can think of is possibly a gasket

Check all your vacuum hoses maybe one has come off. Esp near the inlet manifold..

If you can hear it in the cabin, do you have a electronic boost controller or a aftermarket gauge in the cabin? The vacuum line to either (if they exist) might have split or come loose
