Yous all suck if you're getting under 400kms to a tank in a non-GTR.

I just did 463km, with 315kms of that of spirited run to Bathurst and back.

Why should a GTR be more fuel hungry?

My motors:

RB25, 270rwkw - 450-500km around town, 550-600 freeway

RB26, 280rwkw - 450-500km around town, 550-600 freeway

Identical :D

Pretty sure i have a 55L tank as well (never run it much below 1/4)

All of mine are with a nastier diff ratio as well, so I am doing high RPM @ 100km/h to you all :)

That said, if i get onto the loud pedal i can mince a tank in less than 300km's

am i the only one that doesnt check or work it out? i just go and fill up whenever i need to no matter what day it is, usually when i have about a quater of a tank left and thats it, i dont even look at the price when im filling up lol.

LOL +1.. always find vortex 98 for her and fill up once a week. its never been low so i never worry about it :)

I'm lucky if I get 350ks beween fills. And then it takes around 50Ls to fill it.

I'm wondering if a new o2 sensor will improve things, along with a Nistune and dyno time.

Once a week!!!!!

God damn. If I fill up 3 times a week it's been a cheap week.

Wish I was like that, but I'm obsessed with the trip meter haha. It can be a good way to tell if your car isn't running properly / as good as it could be. I do fill up whenever I need it though...stuff holding out for queues and cheap prices to save a couple of dollars. If you bought a Skyline for good fuel economy you did it wrong from the start I say!

Yer! Give the O2 sensor a go mate, it should be standard with every purchase of a Skyline haha! Instant 50-60km extra to a tank if it ain't been changed before.

Ummm.... ;)

BP Ultimate: 141.9c, 423.6km, 49.34 L = 11.65L/100km = $16.53/100km

BP Premium: 134.9c, 265.2km, 34.87 L = 13.15L/100km = $17.74/100km

BP Premiun: 134.9, 446.3km, 53.74L = 12.04L/100km = $16.24/100km

BP Ultimate: 140.7c, 476km, 51.12L = 10.74L/100km = $15.11/100km

Caltex Vortex: 143.9-4c = 139.9, 300km, 35.54L = 11.85L/100km = $16.57/100km

Sucks that BP Ultimate is currently the best, I want to boycott them bad. Going to move onto Mobil and Shell soon, hopefully they are awesome.

    • Wives never seem to find things funny. Especially when they're trying to sleep, and you've found the new funniest thing ever. I've never seen someone be able to get try and be cranky with me, while they're holding back fits of laughter... 😛   Also, I tell mine it's payback anyway. She has BiPolar. So the household can get quite emotionally wild at times 😛
    • I'm not up to date on the latest, but for basic modifications like pod filter, lower springs etc you can get a modification permit at the time of inspection.  For more serious modifications you will need engineering.  Intercoolers used to fall into the mod permit rule but its been a long while since i looked it up.   Either way you will be able to get it registered, just a case of $300 vs $3k .
    • Hi everyone! I’m the new owner of a 1996 R33 GTS-T, I’ve purchased this car over from Queensland and brought it to Western Australia and I’ve found that there is a hole cut out in the engine bay for the FMIC that enters into the wheel well (fender liners are in the boot). For anyone that has had to get their car over the PITS here, will this be a major issue?
    • Yeah I've spotted this one too, whenever it's lotto superdraw week and I'm browsing car sales dot com for my new ride They must be dreaming, maybe it's worth 150k for the link to Brock?
    • 100% accurate!  We are a pack of know it alls....  But, I bet people go to you when they have a problem! I've been on a bit of a clean up rampage too over the past month!  I've thrown more shit in the bin over the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years combined! Anyway, it's all good fun being different! My wife sometimes does not agree!
