Remapped Ecu

hi all the other day my mate gave me a remaped ecu that was done at turbotune from his r32gtst, our cars have very similar mods but 1 thing is it works better in his r32 than it dose mine. so my question is do i have to take the car for a run on open road so it can adjust to my mods???

It won't just auto adjust. similar mods or not it will need to be tuned to your car. Something as simple as different spark plugs or a different level of spark from the coil packs can make a difference, this combined with a difference of air flow and exhaust it all add's up and before long similar turns into a totally different tune being needed. Take the time to do some research on who offers the best tune for the ECU you have and spend the cash on doing it properly or you'll regret it down the road.

If your friend had a different AFM or different sized injectors, there's no way you can use that ECU
