Hey guyz, just getting the Autowatch 446 basic Alarm installed in my car for now. Coz i am low of Cash. Will Upgrade it later.

Wanted to know if its good or not? Is there a big difference between the 446 basic and premium model apart from the extra sensors?

Some questions bout the Standard 446 alarm

1. Is the basic one Aus standard approved? getting insurance with Just Cars so need one that is approved.

2. Does it have a Siren?

3. Does it come with any sensors in the package?

4. does it have anti hijack coz Autowatch site says it does but when i called Action alarms they sed no.

Please help guyz...

Cheers,

Vish.

The 446rli alarm system is a good reliable all round alarm system which is Insurance approved, it can be an immobiliser only or an alarm as well. The sensors you get depend on the company supplying the product and what they offer with each package. If you car is turboed then you won't be able to arm the alarm while a turbo timer is running, only the doors will lock/unlock. You would have to wait for the engine to shutdown before arming the alarm.

The 446rli Standard does not have anti-hijack but it does have keyguard.

The 446rli Premium is more suited if your interested in hijack and you can arm the alarm and lock doors while the engine is still running, you can also stall the engine via remote before the turbo timer times out at any time while walking away from your car.

Cheers, :/
