Torque Settings

Not sure if there was a better place for this... After torque settings for dump nuts, both ends of manifolds etc, had a look in DYI etc, but no luck

fT - fairly tight

Not to be confused with FT - f**king tight

i prefer f**king tight... with dump bolts and turbo to manifold, fairly tight on manifold to head.

Factory settings for factory nuts- Head to manifold- 18-24 Nm

Manifold to turbo and turbo to dump- 23-29 Nm

Don't forget to use an anti seize heat resistant compound.

Is this a job that can be approached from the top of engine or is it just too hard to get to manifold bolts underneath?

I am wanting to change turbos on my GTR but am not game to tackle a job this big. Am I over reacting, keeping in mind doing dimple oil changes etc is my comfort zone.

If you plod along with it you would probably get it done over a weekend....a lot of swearing and a bit more swearing

Generally the time I would be quoting is 8 - 10 hours depending on whether it's just gaskets or studs as well or changing turbos or whatever. But 6 - 8 for a straight turbo r and r
