WD40 is a grease remover. if you have a greased joint you should NOT use WD40 on it, unless it is seized... in which case you can help anti-seize it with WD40 but you must clean the WD40 off it afterwards and re-grease the joint.

actually it isn't. all it does is thin the grease a bit, just like how petrol or even oil will. it is actually a water dispersant. that is what the W and D stand for (well actually the D stands for displacement, but means pretty much the same thing) and the number 40 refers to it being the 40th formulation before being perfected. wd-40 is a jack of all trades, master of none. it isn't a very good lubricant, penetrant or pretty much any thing else it is supposed to be good at other than repelling water.

i use ATF. i accidently spilt some on the engine one day and then forgot about it. a while after i renumbered and went to clean the ATF off and much to my surprise it cleaned all the crap off.

love the mr sheen i will have to try that. and oven cleaner also looks the goods.

      I'll tell her I put in a new air filter on it, which, it would have anyway with the ITB's In the end she isn't to fussed, she spends lots of money on hair, nails, make-up and all the other "required" beauty products that women use, plus I grease the wheels with shiny gifts and holidays wherever and whenever I can She once questioned my car spending "budget", but after itemising everything she spends on herself, and what I spend on her, and the fact that I don't care if she does or doesn't wear make-up and fancy pants perfume, or requires new outfits for every wedding, funeral or anything else she deems worthy, and I'm quite happy to go "real" camping, instead of staying in hotels or jaunts on cruise ships, she decided not to press the subject on how I spend funds, and has never asked "how much did that cost" again, so a win to me And how often can you say you really get a win with the fairer sex? She is a good woman, and in the big picture, I'm really lucky.....that she hasn't killed me yet

      Will the clear coat dissolve the ink tho?? I thought about clear vinyl tape too. Thinking what to do haha. The one I have now is cracked in 1 spot, otherwise mint. Plus the MINES one is much thicker plastic material so its not flimsy at all.

      No. Go a different colour, and just trim it at an edge line. Even manufacturers do different panels different colours etc.
