haha, probably..they just expect more..

pentae: lol .. that is probably why my last g/f was 21

I think older chicks also tend to like newer cars as well by that stage. I know a mate who was sucked into buying a brand new car, even though his old car was only 2 years old! just because of the rantings of his g/f.. and she was the type that could never afford one herself. Scary thing is now they're getting married

They definitely like whatever car to look clean and shiny, no matter what sort of car it actually it is. That maybe comes first, how the guy takes care of the car, not actually what it is. Maybe its something to do with, if the guy takes care of the car, he will take care of her?? And chicks always have this thing about changing them to make them the centre of attention, rather than the car, as the relationship progresses. Buying what "she" wants rather than he wants. So many blokes drive ****ing girly cars simply because of their women.. its very true!

--emasculated *****-whipped. it is unfashionable today for a man to act like a man.

the p.c. movement has feminized society a great deal. i believe women are now expected to be men in the workplace, though. so we have a 'defeminization' of women, too. emasculation of men, combined with defeminated women, creates a fU*&Kd up society. i feel women are actually begging for 'a good man.' they want to be dominated by males, actually, as that is the natural order of things. to even say this is unfashionable, though. so i expect dissenting opinions. but men have been emasculated. and it is those men who will not agree with me. women like the gay man because he is not "a threat." it is a technique of some men to pose as gay to garner female attention. then, they act "converted" to straight if the relationship

goes farther. coming on as "manly, " too, seems out of fashion and unpopular with the girls' girly mates. but they are all really begging for a man to bend them over and f*CK their brains out. so nobody really says what they really want. and a vast many don't really know who they are sexually or what they really want. pathetic.

Anyways enuf of this society smack and back on topic! Yeah i always get casual glances across at my ride at the lights from ladydeez.... just smile and wave hahha ... one night was at the lightsat the intersection of gympie and hamilton rd's heading towards aspley maccas..... minding my own bussiness and this al rice'd up coupe steps up... the girl in the passenger seat looks over so do as i do smile and wave... the male driver gets pissed off and starts reving the thing... i start laughing.. lights turn green we take off yeah about 3 car lengths ahead by the next set of lights at where the female passenger processed to shake her head in discust (spelling) and process to give me the thumbs up hehehehe.

Peace

Yeh u cannot honestly think picking up chicks cos of your car is going to work and lead on to a serious relationship. i know of several girls that move from one guy to the next cos they have a betta car, do more mods etc.

We cruise fairly often in Phat R33s skyline and you get looks (cos of the zorst and bov) then dirty skankas whistle at you and say stuff like 'wanna root' what a turn on.

to date every chick ive been with has loved my bluebird trx mostly. My current partner told me she like it when i said its a bucket'o shit compared to what i have got. so i showed her my silvia and skyline and she was like they are just black cars i still reckon the bluey is the best?? figure that out?

Anyways enuf of this society smack and back on topic! Yeah i

WTF?!, it is exactly the topic. it's going far into the whole point: chicks look at guys with cars. period. whether they f$ck the guy in the car, date the guy in the car, marry the guy in the car, masturbate to the fantasy of the guy in the car, is all the whole thing. the guy in the car is as much of a fantasy man as the grass-is-greener hottie in the skirt with no underwear winking at you and your girlfriend. you lust for it, you want it, you pursue it, you get it, you have it, you had it, you discard it. process repeats. it is a visual masturbation fantasy nightmare that is infinite and inescapable. it is simultaneously fulfilling and empty all at the same time: a car, a breast, an a$$, a wallet, a stiff drink, a hard-on, lust, greed, money, power, wanting, having, not having, getting, not getting, driving, walking the dog, going to mcdonald's. the only safe-haven from any of it is the solidarity of mind knowing that one matters to oneself and, if fortunate enough, can express this state of being to a significant other who truly sees it. the adolescent rush of horny innocence, at once a sanctuary and way of life is, at best, a prison to the man who isn't living the party anymore. :ghost:

lots of people, male & female, seem to respond to the word 'turbo' more so than skylines in my experience.

my g/f, although she enjoys the acceleration factor, often complains to people when we arrive about things related to the turbs ('waiting for the turbo to cool' or 'the turbo makes firewall too warm') and more often than not the other person will ask what i drive.

i think old cars get more on street attn from the lass' than 'lines

personally anyone needing any car to pull da chicks must say something bout his manhood.

you just approach them and go from there. but then when you do get them it'll be nice and they'll like it if they are driven' in an up to date vehicle instead of a rust bucket.

the other type of chicks obviously like to be seen driven around in a nice riced up car so that they can scan the surroundings for better looking guys, while the idiot driving them hasn't a clue whats going on. but then again those type of girls are usually one nighters anyway.

Dude, are you this philosophical and analytical in all aspects of life?

If you were my flat mate or life partner, I reckon I'd end up strangling you to death!!!

To me you sound like one of those annoying argumentative pretentious arseholes who is never wrong. I've been reading your posts on this thread for a while now and biting my tongue.

I don't think the author of this thread exactly had war and peace in mind when beginning this thread, so for **** sake dude keep things short and in context.

Reading your posts makes me feel like I've just trod in dog shit.

    • I think you're really missing the point. The spec is just the minimum spec that the fuel has to meet. The additive packages can, and do, go above that minimum if the fuel brand feels they need/want to. And so you get BP Ultimate or Shell Ultra (or whatever they call it) making promises to clean your engine better than the standard stuff....simply because they do actually put better additive packages in there. They do not waste special sauce on the plebian fuel if they can avoid it. I didn't say "energy density". I just said "density". That's right, the specific gravity (if you want to use a really shit old imperial description for mass per unit volume). The density being higher indicates a number of things, from reduces oxygen content, to increased numbers of double bonds or cyclic components. That then just happens to flow on to the calorific value on a volume basis being correspondingly higher. The calorific value on a mass basis barely changes, because almost all hydrocarbon materials have a very similar CV per kg. But whatever - the end result is that you do get a bit more energy per litre, which helps to offset some of the sting of the massive price bump over 91. I can go you one better than "I used to work at a fuel station". I had uni lecturers who worked at the Pt Stanvac refinery (at the time they were lecturing, as industry specialist lecturers) who were quite candid about the business. And granted, that was 30+ years ago, and you might note that I have stated above that I think the industry has since collected together near the bottom (quite like ISPs, when you think about it). Oh, did I mention that I am quite literally a combustion engineer? I'm designing (well, actually, trying to avoid designing and trying to make the junior engineer do it) a heavy fuel oil firing system for a cement plant in fricking Iraq, this week. Last week it was natural gas fired this-that. The week before it was LPG fired anode furnaces for a copper smelter (well, the burners for them, not the actual furnaces, which are just big dumb steel). I'm kinda all over fuels.
    • Well my freshly rebuilt RB25DET Neo went bang 1000kms in, completely fried big end bearing in cylinder 1 so bad my engine seized. No knocking or oil pressure issue prior to this happening, all happened within less than a second. Had Nitto oil pump, 8L baffled sump, head drain, oil restrictors, the lot put in to prevent me spinning a bearing like i did to need the rebuild. Mechanic that looked after the works has no idea what caused it. Reckoned it may have been bearing clearance wrong in cylinder 1 we have no idea. Machinist who did the work reckoned it was something on the mechanic. Anyway thats between them, i had no part in it, just paid the money Curiosity question, does the oil system on RB’s go sump > oil pump > filter > around engine? If so, if you had a leak on an oil filter relocation plate, say sump > oil pump > filter > LEAK > around engine would this cause a low oil pressure reading if the sensors was before the filter?   TIA
