I think after Sundays SAU Vics New Years drinks turn out that the official SAU mascot be a 15 week old banana. Because a bigger a bunch of soft mummies boys I have never met!

All you whinging bastards that have asked for SAU social functions - where were you hey!!? The only thing that can give SAU any creditablility right now is that James, Sam and I drank enough for 30 people. (it's damn right emabarrisng that there was nearly as many prelude owners as skyline owners at this drinking session!)

No one can complain about the time of the event - we were there for 12 hours.

No one can complain about the company - there were more chicks than blokes that turned up.

No one can complain about notice for the event - it was posted weeks ago with a reminder post last week.

You're all soft.

:usuck:

And Im still feeling slightly hungover.

Ooooh - not so loud. Headache.

But yes - what Snow said.

Funky also had the good grace to pop in. He was on his way to another function - but made the effort to say hi. I think we were still pretty well behaved at that stage.

We saw lots of Skylines drive past... but where was everyone??

I had a big night on Saturday (tried to watch all 5 Rocky films in one sitting - got messy before Clubber) - but was still able to crawl out of bed for another 12-hour 8-pint stint.

Hell - even Sammi's old-man popped in for something (can't quite remember...)

Richo: Also - Remind your buddy I want my $1,000,000.

Billy Dee Williams all the way baby!

thats right

all you guys who didnt show up are a bunch of fkn sl*ts

everyone is always whinging about these sort of things never happening, but when they do, no one shows up

Hell I had to go to the big day out the next day and I still put in the hard yards having a drink with the boys....

Hmmm, after that tirade of abuse I'm sure everyone else will definitely wanna go next time.

Earliest use of the word 'tirade' in context for 2004 :D

E: The disappointment we felt on Sunday was mostly due to the pre-event keenness of people. Sure, it's not like much effort went into it... I just would have expected a better turnout from people who wanted an event like this, and said they'd be coming.

It's a bit frustrating that the same people are the only ones ever to come to these things. We're trying to build a bit of a 'community' here... aren't we?

Perhaps I've got it all wrong

That said - we had fun.

Louise took photos - just need to get them developed.

I won $1,000,000 in a bet that Carl Weathers is NOT Lando. Still waiting to collect though...

7 pints + 3 pots each = 13.86L of Heineken.

haha I want to see the photos!!

btw Ill explain why dad showed up

Basically I told him I was going out for a few hours to chapel street, and he started to get worried when I didnt come home, so after 6 hours of not knowing what was happening, he called me, heard I was pissed, and started stressing

Its really my fault for not telling him my plans

As i said in the other thread...

i ran into trouble Sat night...

Got attacked by a woman... but i think she was a man

I lost my frigging mobile phone, hence why i couldnt call anyone!

i'm never drinking again  it always end in tradgedy. And this one is going to bost me $100 god-damnit

ash u got beat up by a woman?

She was like 6.2 or something, kinda looked like Venus Williams or something.

MILES taller than me, and bigger too!

And me being a nice boy, i wasnt about to go around crowning her (as i was there with a chick at the time)

So yeah, someone grabbed my hand and put it on her ass... and she went crazy at me!

I've got bruises up and arm and cuts and all sorts of shit!

And then she started to arck up on the chick i was with, so they started a blue also. Bitch fight! WOOHOO!!!

But by this stage i'd called the bar-man i knew there to go and get the bouncers and have her thrown out... and that she was. Thown out on her ass!

I couldnt feel it at the time, i was soo drunk i was just laughing at her which just made her more mad.

But the next day... shit, not good. I've still go makrs all over my arm and stuff :rol:

it's safe to say that i got faily well owned by a bitch!!!! AHAHAH

    • I drive the Tiguan much harder than the Skyline in all conditions, because it just grips and hooks, unlike the R33 shit box
    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
