Hi guys,

My r33 gts-t has the following mods

- std boost (not a mod but just to make that clear)

- 3inch turbo back exhaust with high flow cat

- pod filter

- r34 gt-t intercooler

Have a slight flat spot in the mid range, will be siliconing up the coil packs during the week on my day off.

Someone said the car might be running slightly more than 7 psi, maybe 9ish due to the car being freed up in the breathing department but the point is I wont be upping the boost from stock.

I replaced the plugs when I did a major service and bought the NGK recommended Platinums. I cant remember the part number but they ran a 1.1mm gap and were a 5 heat rating.

now considering its just a daily, only gets the occassional squirt and thats it and is running stock boost (i suppose 7-9 depending on who you ask given my mods?)

Are these suitable? I am worried about the spark being blown out or detonation given the higher temp? On the other hand I dont want to run a smaller gap or hotter plug if I dont have to so am I safe with these or should I change them?

thanks

Jason

BCPR6ES gapped down to .8 if your coilpacks are dodgy. I understand platinums don't like being gapped and coppers are cheaper. I like to pull my plugs out once a year anyway so don't mind replacing them.
