V35 Rims And Studs

Hi all

Just wondering, do any of you know what that extra orange coloured stud in my photo does and if it can be removed?

Reason is that I have a set of rims from my old car that I wouldn't mind putting on the v35, but that 6th stud (if I can call it that) is slightly in the way! I don't want to have to modify the rim to fit, so I might end up having to shop for new rims just because of it! I reckon it'll limit the choice of rims massively as well??

The photos show the extra stud on the v35, the rims I'm trying to use, and the stock rims from the v35.

Its just for pushing the disc off when its rusted on there when you change discs or service the brakes.

Someone probably left it on there or something as i dont remember seeing them on mine.

Thought it served some crazy purpose... any idea how it's held on?

remove it. and throw it away.

that's just a bolt they put in there so you can't put your rear rims on the front because on a coupe the front to rear is staggered fitment 225 and 245 tyres..

Ahh nice. Just removed it!!!

Changing the rims now hahahah...........................................................

Looks to me that it is a bolt to hold the disk in place, in saying that will be ok to remove as the wheel will hold it in place.
