It's the opposite brother^. If it has trouble selecting all gears including reverse it's usually clutch :happy:

Reverse is typically difficult to get into with older cars, certain gearboxes, straight cut reverses, and certain clutches. Try putting into first and then into reverse. You don't have to roll forward with the vehicle, but just moving it into first will often re-allign the gearset for easy selection. I do it out of habit in every manual vehicle I drive and rarely ever have issues selecting reverse.

Another way you can re-allign the gears (so to speak) is to hold it in the reverse gate and let out the clutch very, very slowly. Reverse usually slips in after this. If it crunches, you're doing it too fast :)

Its the lockout sping thats worn out

quiet regular in GTRs, shift it into 4th then push it towards the reverse gear while taking it out of 4th then putting it into reverse

the part cost $2 from Nissan but labours $100-200

doesnt make any difference if you do whats mentioned above
