heyas...just a quick question on postage from japan to australia. i have never ordered anything from japan, but i am getting a few bodykit peices that i can't get in australia (not for my skyline, but my liberty) and i am just wondering if anyone out there who has purchased from japan could help me.

what is the difference in the below postage methods. I asked the guy i am dealing with in japan, but his english wasn't very good and didn't explain it very well and i don't want to keep bugging him :s i also had a quick look on google but noting substantial.

EMS:4000yen without insurance.

UPS: 8000yen without tax and insurance.

DHL: 27,900yen without tax and insurance.

that last one nearly costs more than the things i am getting lol so it better be good.

EMS is the Japanese postal service express parcel delivery. It is the premium service for sending parcels ex Japan.

UPS and DHL are just international courier companies. They are both US companies originally im sure.

You also, for small items, have the option of SAL which is the economy air mail from the Japanese postal service. It takes 3-5 times as long but is usually half the price. They only send items up to 3kg or less though.

EMS is great, and even though it's expensive it's probably the cheapest/best method of sending stuff ex-Japan.
