1992 GTiR Pulsar

Thinking of starting a business and or just buying something cheaper. Im not selling because there is something wrong i just want a change. This is something you can drive and cops look straight past you and most other road users do aswell.

Price: $10500 slightly negotiable

May swap for something else cash either way, show me what you got

Location: We can meet at windy point

My GTiR:

- SR20DET AWD

- 141,xxxkms

- Sunroof

- Rego till 10/8/10

- 5 spd manual PPG dogbox (straight cut gears 1-4) rated to 600HP

- Interior in good condition

- 2.5" from turbo to 3" decat to muffler with 4" Jasma tip

- Hybrid FMIC

- HD Clutch

- Apexi SAFC installed and wired into the glove-box

- Boost controller installed into glove-box

- Custom 16" superlight Wheels, wrapped in toyo R1R's (1000kms old)

- Oil used: Motul 8100 Xcess (fully synthetic) + ryco filter, always changed 2500-3000kms or less

- Tuned (safe) to 14 PSI for daily driving 162awkw

- Lowered on King Springs

- New front brake pads (less than 2500kms old)

- Always warmed up and cooled down

- Aftermarket steering wheel

Work just completed(09/07/2010):

- New Harmonic balancer (from japan)

- New Crankshaft seal and 'O' Ring (including spacer)

- 2nd hand power-steering belt & adjuster bolt

I have receipts for the work done

Problems/issues:

- RH door has been changed as shown in pics it is slightly darker, depends on the light you look at it in

- Paint fade on the roof

- Currently i've removed all the speakers and thrown them out cos they were sh!t

- Someone debadged my car last week

Custom number plates "RIPP3R" do not come with the car

new rego last week and service completed with motul 8100 x-cess and ryco oil filter... changed every 2500k's at the most

car is running great

bump price drop 10000/ throw me a cash offer, id like to buy another car that im keen on

    • I definitely agree with you there - I never click on content for cars I would never ever be able to get or compete with/against/be seen next to. Seeing a MX5 compete with a FD RX7 will make people upset though, for sure. Even in 2.5L Turbo form which is pretty grass roots. (or at least as grass roots as classic cars can be) Yes we're all classic car owners now.
    • Wonder what the cause is, but here's hoping it's nothing too serious.
    • People don't always want builds that are overly expensive, or have engineering/registration/insurance issues and head aches that come with them Whilst big dollar builds, and complicated stuff is interesting to watch, there is only a tiny % of people who would actually use this information, or have the spare finances to drop on said builds, whereas the buy a cheap(ish) cool car, and make it better, with a average budget, that the average Joe or Jane could achieve will always be a winner in my opinion 
    • Bit of a thread revival, you mentioned wanting a bit more top end before, do you regret not going with the 1.01?
    • It's kind of interesting - They definitely do builds that split the difference between what they like and what will generate views and engagement. The NC Platform always surprises everyone in a good way, in an uncomfortably good way some may say. They could throw a LS in there and arguably have the best (and best performing) car of the entire stable. But that isn't necessarily what draws views, because people viewing don't want to accept the vegetables of a LS NC MX5 being a superior vehicle in every way (including fun) than a RB26 240Z. This is also why there's not a lot of content about the GR Yaris (on the web in general). They're too good, yet 'only a Yaris' The community doesn't want certain cars to be as good as they are - to beat their hero cars, and I believe the NC MX5 is absolutely one of those cars.
