killswitch88
Hey guys as topic states, friend of mine had her skyline stolen from her driveway on Friday night. No great surprise given the large number of scumbags within the area but if anyone happens to see it or hear anything or come across any recognisable parts for sale please give us a call on 0421 930 151. Much appreciated. Pics below Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/329608-skyline-stolen/ Share on other sites

Isola
Theft? On the south side? That doesn't sound right... I'll keep an eye out for it though. Good work posting up the plates. Most people seem to forget that in stolen threads for some reason... Dan_B
guessing they did a bit of a butchers job to remove the engine? did they take the box too? good to see it was actually recovered, most never reappear Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/329608-skyline-stolen/#findComment-5363367 Share on other sites

t5iv
I thought that most insurance companies wouldnt write it off if the chassis was still completely intact. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/329608-skyline-stolen/#findComment-5364866 Share on other sites
Dan_B
might find the fact that its a ~15 year old car and a replacement motor costs as much as they do it might get classed as a repairable write-off. MSTRshenanigans
Its a R33 GTST is it not? Its a write off, especially if they damaged things taking out the engine. Reason being your insurer has to be able to buy new or 2nd hand parts and get a proper tax invoice and they will not purchase parts if they don't feel they can guarantee the repairs. Sucks for imports. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/329608-skyline-stolen/#findComment-5365000 Share on other sites
