Hey guys as topic states, friend of mine had her skyline stolen from her driveway on Friday night. No great surprise given the large number of scumbags within the area but if anyone happens to see it or hear anything or come across any recognisable parts for sale please give us a call on 0421 930 151. Much appreciated. Pics below

Theft? On the south side? That doesn't sound right...

I'll keep an eye out for it though. Good work posting up the plates. Most people seem to forget that in stolen threads for some reason...

that really sucks! I know exactly how you feel. Probly the same grubs that took my car a few months back. Good luck and I'll keep a lookout for you!

guessing they did a bit of a butchers job to remove the engine? did they take the box too?

good to see it was actually recovered, most never reappear

might find the fact that its a ~15 year old car and a replacement motor costs as much as they do it might get classed as a repairable write-off.

Its a R33 GTST is it not? Its a write off, especially if they damaged things taking out the engine.

Reason being your insurer has to be able to buy new or 2nd hand parts and get a proper tax invoice and they will not purchase parts if they don't feel they can guarantee the repairs.

Sucks for imports.

    • I'll snap up some photos when I'm back home, in the office today meeting my "in the office" quota. Have 2x Teams calls scheduled in, office culture they reckon.   I've never owned a proper off the shelf sub, I've always made or modified broken ones with Jaycar plate amps and/or car subwoofer drivers. The current (and broken) subwoofer has a proper home driver in it, Dayton driver, thos one https://www.daytonaudio.com/product/118/rss265hf-4-10-reference-hf-subwoofer-4-ohm FS of 25Hz, which is low but not low enough. Yeah, I think they were brought out to the market to compete with SVS. I would love a SVS PB-3000 but they're not cheap, especially after their price hike. From reviews online, it does look like the Tonewinner D6000 would destroy and with good amount of money saved too.
    • yeah, that happens too.  I'm really enjoying 4WDing at the moment, seen a few beautiful spots and want to go explore more of this enormous country.  The 370Z got a clutch LSD in it and a track day, great fun.  Getting the back end sorted out really rejuvenated my enthusiasm for driving it hard, the viscous one is poo especially in such a short and wide chassis.  The VLSD unpredictability was more benign in a long and skinny Skyline.
    • With my pre/power I use a remote trigger cable(3.5mm jack each end). I turn tv on, it turns both on via ARC. Or, just the pre with the remote or its streaming software, turns on both. Not that difficult at all. Obviously,  you would also want to actually update/upgrade over other factors in your life(bills, family, other hobbies, etc)
    • Yeah, nightfall was very "meh". And I'm crap at pvp, so feels like everyone has cheats(it's just my lack of skill). Final shape has been pretty good. New raid and dungeon are pretty good. If you want to give it a go, probably wait until it's on sale. But, as usual, most of it feels very familiar.
    • This morning was Kingswood's Microscopic Wars. It is the album's 10 year anniversary this year and we went to see them play the whole album as a special show a couple of months back. Was pretty spectacular.
