hey guys, i have an r32 rb20det, all standard apart from exhaust and fmic, i have recently gained a miss. it is running standard boost and when boost kicks in it starts to miss and backfire a little.

i thought it was the plugs so i replaced them with some new ngk bcpr6es and most of the miss went away but it was still missing a little and after about 100km's of driving its back to the way it was.

could it be the coils, timing or dirty injectors?

any help would be much appreciated!

thanks,

Tim

Coils or coil harness for $500 thanks.

Also not sure if the BCPR's are helping or not.. the R's are the resistor type plugs, I run BCP6ES (non-resistor type).

It'll be your coil packs more then likely. I had a similar issue on my hr31 (rb20). I would check you plug gap first though, it makes a big difference if you have to big a plug gap.

I bought some new plugs that were a 0.8mm gap and I also used high temp silocone around the coilpacks to seal any cracks and the problem went completely.
