I know running away from the policezo aint a cool thingo but i though this was quite an entertaining story.

i was heading home with a mate after a big 18th at whale beach. Driving down spit hill towards the city. i saw a white R34 GTR i was like Sweet man check out the 34 such a mad car. we were kinda driving next to it gazing at it as we were going down the hill.

We were in a white v8 Vk holden with the body kit and decals everywere kinda a cop magnet. This cop car was signeling to pull us over (behind us) then the cop car must have seen the GTR and decided to change lanes and pull the GTR over. The dood saw the cop car change lanes and head for him. He switched his lights off and F***KEN BLASTED!!!!!! so hard just burnt the cop car (not a highway patrol...i dont htink) and he headed up the left side of spit hill the side with no speeding cameras... fairly entertaining very exciting.

i wonder how often this kinda thing happens. Any 1 got similar storys... ? i love this sort of stuff.

but speeding is bad and cops are tops ;) *cough*

hehe not a wise thing to do,cos cops would suspect the car is stolen and do anything to check on it, so when u see a cop car, dont try to change ur route or anything..just continue on normal driving.and if they make u stop.. u stop!(cop told me himself-cos i tried to avoid a cop car once)

i saw a silver Evo creeping towards the red traffic lights on becroft road when a cop car came up behind them and turned the disco lights on, the evo dropped it straight through the red light

what kind of evo?

i have made a couple of errors, and tried to get away a couple of times.

once i got away, th other time i got caught...

he he he

was fun tho...

Can i ask what made running an option... if you had some serious warrants for your arrest, then i can understand running, but short of that...well :P

Just a question R33s-Goesoff: You said you were heading down the spit hill in the direction of the city right? and you were next to the GTR - which then headed up the left side of the hill - where there are two speed cameras 50 metres apart.

Id love to hear the rest of the story - was he driving on the wrong side of the road? cos thats the only remotely possible way he could get past two speed cameras going up the spit citybound and considering there is a concrete median strip that makes for some truely "spirited" driving.

Enlighten us :)

hey i saw the the r34 gtr on sunday nite that thing was crazieee

2 asian guys had euro number plates with volks

we had mad fun on parra rd arund 2-3am he was pretty craziee running my mates s15 chopping him obviously.........

lookeed crazy man it was a r34gtr v-spec 2 young guys man max 25 highlight of my long weekend

Blitz: Obvisouly you dont know your streets too well. Befor you reach the incline of spit hill heading towards the city were the two speed cameras are situated there is a left turn just after all the posh restarunts end, about 100m from the end of the bridge itself. which will take you up into mosman....... Its and illegal left turn. Smart A$$.

    • Everything I found online said never use it because it'll dramatically reduce belt lifespan.  No, but I have seen excessive v-belt tension cause the audible bearing noise from excessive radial load in things like alternators. So don't overdo it. Ideally you set it to manufacturer spec using a proper belt tension guage. I tried the "clicker" type gauges but those cheap things are trash. They read way too low even when you're careful.
    • This is kind of where I've ended up for the most part. It's easier for me, easier for shops that don't have to deal with my weird criteria/picky standards, etc.
    • Will do. Suprised if it's not the starter motor considering it's 30 years old. Will get a volt meter though. Battery is close to new.   Cheers for your help, always appreciated.
    • This almost never happens these days. No. Clean your battery terminals and make sure they are tight. Use sandpaper on a dowel if you have to, to get oxidation off the inside of the terminals, particularly on the -ve. Check the earth cable from battery post to chassis ground and engine ground. Make sure the contact surfaces are clean - including the threads on the bolts that anchor them - because that's where a lot of the contact occurs. Wire wheel on a drill is a good thing for this. Make sure the crimps on those cables are all sound. Assuming none of that causes an improvement: Check the battery voltage after it has been resting for a while. If it's at the lower end of the range, put it on charge for a while, then see if it will crank better.
    • I just checked my belt, it wasn't super loose but I could bend it past 90 degrees a small amount so I tightened it up and for the first time ever my car didn't crank first time, had to crank it again lol. Don't know if that was because I tightened the belt or if it's my starter motor going out (been having slow starts for some time). Coulda also been when I was recording I didn't crank the key properly and it didn't save the recording lol.   Is that a thing if you overtighten a belt it struggles to start?
