Lots of new technology in cop cars these days-some places even have systems that that do facial recognition when they are driving past you walking down the street. Basically keeps the streets clear of bad element & behind bars if its not abused.

At the end of the day you may just find the Answer stems from political pressures more than from the Police themselves. Politicians have got it in their heads that cause we all drive flash looking cars we can afford to pay the fines so they press the Popo to harass the import market.

Most police think its BS, but when you get the order you do what your told.

Try sticking it to the whinging ol'fart's who bags out hoons acting like they have never sped or done something stupid in their driving history. Call your local pollie a bonehead for ordering automotive harassment while old ladies & kids are getting bashed or raped cause all the popo's attention is on the car nuts having fun in an industrial area late at night when no one is around.

At the end of the day we all love the brand(Nissan), so we just gotta suck it up & accept it I guess-unless I run for office & change the whole lot myself :D

I was driving in Sydney in my Silvia and i'm pretty sure it has lowered springs, because it sits rather low, and 3 cops cars went past and looked at my car and kept driving :). they didnt even pull me over to check if it was turbo, due to the imaculate condition of my Silbeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!!!

Most cops just don't give a f**k. Only Highway pull you over and defect you. GDs sometimes will but rarely, they have too much other sh*t to do and most people in GDs if they have no interest in cars wouldn't know what to look for etc.

    • Only reason I started replacing hoses was I went for a short drive to the shop the other day and finished shopping and started the car and started to drive off and could see a big trail of fuel in the rear view mirror. Parked up and found the bottom hose to the fuel filter had busted. Lucky I was near a car part store and was able to get a replacement hose and back on the road. But got me thinking I had owned that car for around 20 years and was all original fuel hoses so probably time to replace all of the fuel hoses. Was pretty lucky it went where it did.

    • I was just going to replace the fuel line and keep the stock one, but they do look pretty nice lol.
    • Are you going to delete the stock damper or are you just replacing the fuel lines and keeping the stock damper?  There are also options for sexy ones if the stock one is too ugly for you lol -  https://www.radiumauto.com/Fuel-Pulse-Damper-Inline-Kits-P751.aspx or https://www.radiumauto.com/Fuel-Pulse-Damper-Direct-Mount-Kits-P759.aspx So sexy.
    • I think you guys are right. The only reason I thought it was a restrictor was I had seen the same yellow band on the r32 boost restrictor. Will just replace with a standard fuel hose. Thank you for your speedy replies. I'm sure I'll have many other silly questions.
