i was thinking on getting a new skyline due to previous circumstance

My Car got Stolen

I was only getting half from insurance, but that will pay off my load and got 1000 back, (still pissed tho).

The next car i was thinking on getting is GTR r33, an imported one because people says it cheap if its auction over there and yes i was thinking on using iron chef and also i have to get a new loan. Bank wont work so seach the forums, savings and loans that people chosen, haven't gone in yet and asked.

The thing is i sent an email to iron chef about where to look for some japanese auction web pages, didnt get a reply but thats fine i have time.

I found a couple of web pages and some cars with all the parts you can think off, Car with parts. But i heard it cant be imported (crap).

Ok straight to the point, dose anyone have any other web pages that you can think or heard off that i can look around till that time, just like to compare prices and other stuff

Youll have to get a personal loan for the car, but last time i got a personal loan to get a car, the bank needed explicit details about what i was buying, but i think they f**ked up, i know they really pissed me off.

Your best off asking around before you set your heart on importing.

nah man dont ever go with iron chef... would you really wanna buy a car from this guy???

no but really, for a previously ragingmullet to a ragingbald guy he does what he does best

also you can have a look around on here but some prices can be off a bit:

As Damo said your HUGE problem is that almost no bank will give you an unsecured loan .... especially if you mention it is for an import that is not yet in the country (many banks won't give loans on imports fullstop)

Ah ok. But I will believe it when I see it - the economic climate is not even close to before the GFC. Hope you do get the loan - just being realistic. I would seriously go see them and see what you can get in place before you go hunting around too much more for a car.

westpac are pretty good

u need an unsecre personal loan... they just wona make sure its insured.. didnt wona c it hear anything bout it...

ive done 3 stageas this way now :P ull b slugged like 13% tho...

i believe they wont offer you much more than half your yearly income tho....

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
