Hi I need to have my speedo wound forward to reflect the real distance the vehicle has done, was wound back by the importer

does anyone know who does this ?

The Department of fair Trading will over see this

Does NISSAN have to do it ?

Thanks Phill

Hey,

If this is compelled by the DFT or the RTA, why not just ask them to compel the importer to do it (i.e. have the importer put right what they messed up)?

If this is something that you're doing without being legally compelled to (e.g. RTA does not force you to fix it, but you can't register the car until it is fixed)

and you have a mechanical odometer, then why not just do it yourself? There are a bunch of tutorials from car restorers on YouTube.

Digital odometers would probably need to be adjusted by Nissan.

The question is: How do you know what the 'real' kms are?

Cheers,

SW
