I have my motor running but the turbo's are leaking oil. looks like my return lines are to small. How did you guys do yours? I used a Tee into the std block inlet. Is this enough flow?

mine is the same setup as yours - im also running a t piece back to the block but im thinking that the I.D. of my hoses might be larger than yours?

my lines are not braided, im using orange earls hose (i just remember the size of the hose)?

if your turbos are seeping it sounds liek your engine is breathing heavy, when i lost compression on my rb26 the turbos started seeping oil (i dont mean to freak u out)

not sure what size you need but those do look very small looks like a -3 or -4 from the photo, also where the t is the oil might pool there from the front turbo because it has to go up for a bit at the t, id be running -12 like gtr1993 said, the feed hose is under pressue and the return hose is suppose to be just gravity and no pressure so the return needs to be considerably bigger than the feed

yea, the oil drain needs to be nice and large, 19mm / 3/4" is the same size as factory on the GTS-T (i assume the GTR ran a similar size as its all gravity return)

I have currently running in my rb26/30 and it's all good with no leaks.

I bought special hi-temp oil hose from Enzed, which is resistant to hi temp oil on the ID, and wrapped it in heat wrap so it didn't perish from the outside.

I tee'd into the block using a brass tee piece with sealant on the threads (ie going into the block)

For the oil feeds and water returns I went on ebay and bought a braided line kit for my turbos (guy's name is eiji takada, all oil and water lines landed in Aus for around $158, fitted perfect, best value purchase of my whole conversion). Details in this thread:

    • Surely the cam timing is set to something stupid at low RPM?
    • Hi guys, Sorry to butt in and take it slightly off course, although still on the VCAM subject.  I had VCAM put into my Tomei 2.8 bottom end and I struggle to take off because the engine has very little torque caused by VERY low dynamic compression at 60psi. But once off the mark and especially on boost, the engine rev happily all the way to 8000rpm and makes 630hp at 20psi of boost on E85 at the rear hubs. Has anyone had any similar experience or any suggestions on what might cause this low compression at low rpm? I am in the process of converting it into a 8hp transmission and with this low torque, the engine would not even stay running until the throttle is opened to more than 30% and then I loose all vacuum.
    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.
