hi guys. what power have you done on standanrd bottomend rb30s and on what boost and what turbo? il have mine going soon and wanna know what power you guys have done.

mines a rb30 bored 1mm oversize with new mahle pistons and rings and king bearings. standard rods and bolts. has rb25det oil pump on crank collar. what power do you rekn itd do on 18psi with a t04z with split pulse 0.84 rear? hopefully not too much for standard motor. hopefully want it to cop 450rwhp for a while on pump fuel. i dont really thrash my cars everywhere but that might change when i get one with a bitta power.

does the ones ripsnz have on youtube saying standard internals have anything done to them special? ones running 25psi plus 100hp shot of nos. its 650whp it says i think. and few other ones with heaps of power and he says there all good for that power. just been wondering if he does any tricks on them to make them last.

If you have aftermarket pistsons and stuff... Why are you asking about standard bottom ends?

Either way if you only want 450rwhp, the T04Z is a very bad choice, a GT3076 in a 1.06 would be the pick for 320-330rwkw.

A T04Z is 600rwhp territory. A signifigant difference.

there only cast pistons so id assume theyre about the same strength as the factory nissan ones. and the bearings wont help it take any extra power would it? the rest is standard nissan stuff.

will get more power out of it later. only wanna buy the turbo once but.

If you're buying aftermarket pistons then why go cast? save a bit more and get some forgies.

But really, how long is a piece of string?

Good balancing, good balancer and a good tune should see it live a longer life than if you did none of those things.

i have done the same and just used some aftemarket cast pistons as they were needed due to worn block and only cost 300 bucks with rings. If you do forgies then its the rods as the weak link and then oil pump and on and on it goes. I decided to save the $1750 and just limit the setup to under 500rwhp. I have one engine running a 3076r and its currently not running the correct cam timing so power is down but its running 22psi and 330rwhp. This shall be retuned very soon to around 400hp or so when i get some spare time to do it. Another engine the same exact setup will be using a hks t04z and we shall see how it lasts with 500rwhp or so. Just finishing off the final touches to the donar car at this stage so wont be running for a while yet.

I'll let you know as well. By accident rather than design I will have all the good gear in my sig on an RB30/25 stock except for new rings bearings and rod bolts. [Would have preferred to have it rebored forged pistons and balanced] With the stuff I have it should make the 500hp ok but for how long is the question. I will be relying on a good tune and 6,800 rev limit to make it last so if it doesn't quite hit the 500hp so be it. Anything over 300awkw will be a bonus

I thought N1s didnt have great response for their size, so you could go a larger newer turbo that would have the same response but better top end.

Yeah but I have the turbos and will go with them until I feel like i need more.

if I can crack 400 at the treads it will be enough

Pits will be tuning it and the brief will be 18psi or 400 when you get to one of those stop

Slappers on big turbos do NOT last long...

I've broken 2 now... With a max of 1000KM on them... Pushing 1Bar (14PSi) through TD07S housings, t66 front and a t04r rear wheel.

Nothing below 4000/4500RPM, then everything ramps in over 200/300RPM...

Rev limited at 6600RPM.

On the dyno it made "250RWKW" wheel spinning like a spastic... Using fuel consumption and AFR it would be making around 360RWKW... (69% inj duty on 880cc injectors)
