hey peeps got my self in a bit of a situation....ok here it goes i have an r32 gtst skyline (rb20det). iv'e just installed an s15 complete dash and interior trim but after all that realised the s15 cluster is digital where as my r32 cluster is mechanical as is the speedo cable. does anybody have any idea on how i can convert the mechanical readout to a digital signal?? i read a previous failed attempt with a VL RB30E sensor but it wasn't compatible apparently as it had 3(ignition,ground,and readout) wires instead of 2(ground and readout) which i was told is on the sr20 sensor. if anyone has done this conversion before or has any ideas please help.

thanks heaps for your time peeps

I would be trying to find a good auto electrician, search long enough you will find someone who would find this sort of work right up there alley. Its not rocket science bro.

Can you hook us up with some pics mate??

Cheers

i asked around with sparkies and one quoted me 1000 to do it so i looked for other ways alil gentler on the pocket and i think iv found a possible solution - i dismantled both clusters and am gonna try swapping over the speedo and tacho and change the facings so all matches it'll require abit of custom fibreglassing for were the speedo connects to the speedo cable but hopefully nothing i shouldnt be able to handle. ill keep you upto date.
