Hey just wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. i have a hcr32 rb20det i just put new oil and a set of plugs in today took it for a spin and on high boost (apexi avcr) during boosting it's like its leaning right out or something not really sure had to pin point the problem. I checked all the boost and vacum lines and cant find anything off. but runs fine on low boost. Could it possibly be the spark plug gap or oil or something? or maybe the avcr but never happened before the plug and oil change.. All help would be greatly appricated.

Thanks matt

Yes its your plug gap.

Well it might be. Do you want to share with us what plugs you put in and what gap? Were they the same as the plugs you pulled out and what gap did they have?

Gap to 0.8 and ull be fine. Be careful when gaping non copper plugs as the tips are delicate. FYI you are not meant to gap them.

Next time you will remember to check the gap.

Most people go for copper plugs [NGK BCPR6ES] because they are cheaper and you can easily replace them annually. I would guess that your old plugs had quite a big gap but would be worthwhile to find them and measure the gap (if you haven't got a set of feeler guages they are not dear).

If your coils are old and tired it seems to pay to gap your plugs down to 0.8mm instead of the stock 1.1 BTW I am not sure if it is platinums or iridiums that don't like being gapped so be carefull and if you break an electrode just bite the bullet and get a set of coppers and try to sell your remaining 5 plugs!

This may not be your problem though. Did you do everything back up tight (since you have to pull quite a bit off to get to the plugs)?
