I was wondering if anybody could tell me if i could pour the ATF for the transfer case down through the top through the shifter hole? The filler bolt is impossible to get loose and instead of tearing it up i was wondering if anybody has done this before. Any help would be appreciated.

yes, shifter hole is fine.

Yes you can, I think you'll find that most people do it that way as it's a lot easier - just don't overfill your transfer.

It's also a good time to replace your brittle shifter boot.
