Hey guys yesterday decided to try a different set of wheels on the evo. I started to undo the nuts to get the wheel off when i noticed that it was alot more difficult to get them off.

I took just the one nut off and noticed that the tread in the nut and on the rear hub have been screwed with a little. Looks like someone tried to put nuts that dont belong to the car on it at one stage in its life.

Luckily it looks like they relised after just the one wheel so its only the rear left that has the problem.

Its a pain in the ass taking wheel on and off the way it is so i just wanted to see what my options where. Is the best bed to just buy a replacement hub assembly??

THanks guys..

Ross

i used ot have an evo, by the sounds of it best bet to replace the assembly.

May be costly cause wont be easy to find so might have to buy it new imported.

but u wont have the same ssue again provided the right nuts are used.

No definitely no need for that. You are able to replace the individual wheel studs, just go to a suspension place and they can do it for you.
