Jesus, stickied? Better clean it up and only post technical gargon....err my coriolis calculation means if i again start using my reach around shift method not only will my lap times improve to what they used to be but I will probably get more invites for sleep overs :)

Its Science

An rb20 thread sticky? What has the world come to.

No sticky threads in this section, it will get too cluttered and it seems the thread on where did my thread go is too hard for some dopey users to find as it is.

Anyway BB thanks for putting it back.

Now, on with the 2L love :)

My poor lil R32...makes no sense, why would you cheat on a pleasant enough, loyal, low maintenance thing...especially when the mistress is a far more expensive old girl with more plastic then substance, and frankly makes you bashful to be seen in public with?

Oh well, the 32 was my second love after my 31 so it could be expected in a mid life crisis I would run off with another 80s slapper.

My affection is now split. Both have about 400-420hp of 2L lag-awesomeness...

I still love my R32, but there is something cool about people coming up and talking to me about the Cossie. Whether its UK, Germany, Holland or Belgium. Its a feel good car and gets so many thumbs up. At a race track with Porsches, Fezz everywhere....they all stop and look. LOL, makes me love the unloved R32 even more :)

Haha funny, a mate of mine was obsessed with RB20s but ended up falling in love with Sierra's - but when he sold his R32 to move his focus to the Ford, the Sierra started coming up with ingenious ways of making him part with his money and he ended up selling that and pining for his old Skyline. Hope this one treats you a bit better :)

Its a good thing., I drove from London to Hungary and back, including waltzes all over Europe. It survived that test drive so its a good thing :) From the Alps to the dirty back streets of Frankfurt...everybody loves the Cossie :) I now regret going to the Ring and not lapping it. I was a bit concerned about being so low and rubbing tyres on guards + it tramlines rather badly as I think the steering rack bushes are gone...still, I want to go back in time now and put it in the Ring (ashamed I pussied out :( )

But, it was great getting back into the R32 this weekend. The in line 6s are so much nicer then the 4s, smoother, rev so more freely, and now catn wait to see how the baby Poncams and E85 go in the next fortnight. May throw the T67 on if the E85 does enough of masking as happy to live with nothing under 4,500rpm if it means we bag 310rwkw out of a stock RB20 :)

AND thread name change...need to add "and his Cosworth penile extension"

    • Only needed to pull out the seats, center console and gear shifter surround, took a weekend and a fair few beers. You get to look forward to finding all sorts of weird shit under the seats and carpet, I pulled out a Chinese dudes passport from 2003, 220 yen and a condom wrapper 😆
    • Well, turns out not a lot happened from back then to now, between life again, and working on 3 separate other cars (only one of which was mine, and will now be departing the household soon).   So I decided with the whole "don't go outside, it's a cyclone!" Turning in to being not a whole lot, I ventured down to the garage, found a couple of water leaks in the shed (the main one I've already fixed), and then ended up "stuck" as it started pouring rain, and I didn't want to walk back inside in the pouring rain. This meant I ended up taking a look at the Skyline, and trying to work out what past Matt had been upto. I retraced a few things out from scratch, added the rest of the power feeds in that I needed for the indicators, and headlights. Double checked I'd wired a few things up correctly (and worked out how I wired a few things to begin with), updated my sparse notes. Added one of the ground points. Oh, and got really really dusty, as the car is quite dirty. Wrote up quickly what should be left for me to do with the wiring too. Adding the below photos more for my records than anything else. I need to make myself a proper book for the car that details everything, and how I've done it, but for now, this is my records... The third image is my most important one for me, and I need to draw it out into a proper schematic eventually. The last photo is my re-written list, I'd have put it on the white board, except I had to take the white board down to fix one of the water leaks.
