looking good mate!

they're actually grenade GX01 rims, not R34 GTR as stated on the last page :D

ah, useful bit of info that one, thanks for that, (i did say replica though :))

The car looks great !! I love what u did with the interior , how hard is the interior to do ? I wouldn't mind trying tha my self ??

Thanks dude, Sadly i have since removed it all since it started to peel up when the interior got hot (im 90% sure its because of the paint on the trim i applied it to) I am now contemplating 1 of 3 options.

1. Coating the trim in Clear a few times and then hitting it with the cf vinyl again in the hopes that the clear will provide a better base to adhere to

2. Stripping it back and re-spraying it in VHT Black Crinkle paint

3. Saving up and replacing the interior piece by piece with real Carbon pieces from Superior Auto Creative

Again, it looks really good, Stephen. Great work.

Thanks Victor,

Been set back a touch with doing the retrim on the doors, need to figure out a good way to remove all of the old foam that was under the material, that stuff is stuck on so damn well, metho cleans, but doesnt remove the foam as such.

I'v decided to do this to a side project. how do you join 2 peices properly?

some area's have taken a long time and many re-tries such as mirrors.

I'v stopped caring about little creases and once completely covered will redo them maybe.

my thumbs hurt..

what do you guys charge per hour to do it professionally, I'm not in brisbane though just curious.

Ok guys, bit of an update here,

Finally solved my problem with the foam on the door skins, the best solution was to take the skin off the door, and lay it flat, then with a scuffing pad scrub the crap out of it until the foam eventually all came off (forgot to get pics of it at that stage)

after that, a blade around the edge took off any of the excess bits in the recess.

Also, before i attacked the foam i figure, whilst the door skin is off i might as well wrap the window controls and also the triangles in the corners of the door where most people mount a tweeter.

This is what the drivers door looks like at the moment, with all of the excess foam all over it, Horrible! (will attack this door tonight)

Then, these (and a scuffing pad that i forgot to include in the pic)

Added together =

And all back together retrimmed skin with carbon-ized window trims and triangles

Stay Tuned!

So putting a little attention towards the interior, :)

These guys do most interior parts in carbon for R34's, a little experimenting will get you to the right section for the parts.

That said, those pics you quoted are what i wrapped in carbon look vinyl, so they aren't real carbon.

Little side project while i haven't been working on the 34

    • Gents, it will be getting the MX5 Mania kit and the 2.5 will be staying where it is My query was about the 0.64 or the 0.86, whilst the 0.64 might spool a bit faster, would the 0.86 be better IRT EGT and mechanical sympathy, with only a small difference in spool And as I assume I won't need alot of boost to get to 200kw, probably around 10 psi, and with max rpm at 6500, would high EGT even really be a issue with a 0.64 I'm heading into MX5 Mania at the end of Jan to discuss the install, so any info is welcome prior to that Basically have a chat and book a time so they can throw on the turbo kit, and fit a oil cooler with a thermostat, drive in drive out of course  In other news: just finished cleaning the car inside and out, it's now all ready to get covered in bugs and dirt driving to Goulburn tomorrow to lunch,  and go for a stroll along woolondilly River with the daughter and her boy, and of course, visit my grandcats and my new grandpuppy
    • Sounds like it has an actual problem with mode select doors, or something.
    • Hope your all having a mean Xmas! If anyone happens to know any trick to using the insanely complex climate control system, I cannot get it to not be on dual zone no matter how many times I deselect it (will say it's not but both vents blow different temps). Also one side is always hot, one always cold 🤷
    • I'd be looking at the mentioned EFR kit, room to turn it up if decide on e85 (which we know you will) and be super responsive and fun on the street.
