A locked diff doesn't handle well. You get push understeer off throttle and have to feather the throttle to avoid oversteer on throttle. Are you just shimming the standard viscous? If so you need a mechanical diff eg Nismo 1.5 way.

If you are wearing out the nismos then I'd look at putting in a torsen diff from an S15. Not sure what's involved but that would be my next bet - torsens don't wear out.

sorry not sure...there are differences including the number of splines at the diff centre. but I'm sure someone who knows the mix and match better than I can come up with some options :D maybe just gtr centre and half shafts with the gtst diff case and hubs?

Whats your thoughts on a lock diff in a r33 for track racing running full slicks etc.. Shimmed lsd's dont last. Is it possible to lock up the VLSD properly or must I go single spinner then lock that.

If you had a capable ECU you can send the pump a PWM signal to lock the A-LSD when ever you like. You could even make your own tables.
