ive just never had a car that i car about enuf to give a shit about stuff like this happening... till i got my 5... now i wont even let dust settle on her! lol

That will die off eventually.. I mean its only a MX5 :D

Guess the message here is persistence pays off..

i was driving to a mates place just before, and ran over yet another pot hole! no damage done this time, but blardy hell. when you start looking for them on the road, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

goodness knows how you guys with body kits do it! kudos! so THIS is what we pay taxes for huh?

Anna, you'll learn VERY quickly to be able to dodge them.

Majorly sucks that it's happened, the councils response to this will be "What pot holes". By the time they get back to you, they'll have filled the street in.

Good idea to get something with a date on it (Like a newspaper) to date your photos.

oh no they wont... i drive down that rd daily.... if they even DARE covering it up, i will know....

not to mention i will pull over, take photos of them fixing the rd, and i have a time stamp on my camera....

rah! lol.... they WILL pay for this... *shakes fist*

Time stamp means NOTHING as you can alter it, you need something like a newspaper which is dated upon print to prove the date.

NSW RTA have unfortunately found that fixing all of the potholes will cost too much. Therefore, the potholes will be moved from place to place in order to distrubute the wear and tear equally amongst motorists. Crews will be working every peak hour with lane closures in effect to dig the next scheduled pothole and use the bitumen gained to fill in the previous one.

Oh, another thing, Anna: sometimes the road is a council responsibility, and sometimes it's an RTA responsibility - find out who's responsible for that stretch of road and keep the pressure on!

All I can say is dont abuse or swear to the person on the phone, its not their fault, talk to them in a manner that you would like to be spoken to, and I think you'll have a much better result!

Not saying you would anyway Anna!!

Just from my experience in my role, when people yell and swear they get nowhere, being very polite and nice to me gets them along way

well its a council problem. its not RTA as its not main rd...

i WAS supposed to be getting a call from the, today, but since i am extrememly busy today, i will call back tomorrow.

i drove past the crime scene before and without the water, MAN ITS DEEP!

thanks nick, i wont swear at them. im pretty good at being stern, but calm at the same time. i will push my case through :domokun: i hassa faith the council will pay!

That pothole is really nasty, hope the council will repair it for you. I have seen a few people complain of tyre/rim damage from potholes and was wondering, maybe its more likely if you have low tyre pressure?

I suggest this because I have been through hundreds of massive nasty potholes, on occasion it has sounded like the wheel is going to get torn off or similar to driving up a gutter, but have never damaged a wheel or tyre.

couldnt have been low tyre pressure. i only checked it 3days before hand. not to mention they are new tyres that had been on there for exactly 2 weeks and one day (well half). new tyres, correct pressure... hmm....

i think imma go back there and get a video of just how deep that hole is... both of them...

so, no phone call so far.. will call 2moro, and be like "rah"

Have you got a picture of the damaged part on the tyre? Interested to see how nasty it looks!

no :) i forgot to take a photo of that! it ripped a hole in the rubber and was split open :( wish i did tho

ok so no phone call today... :D

will be calling them tomorrow... :)

      UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their proven reliability, predictable performance, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more.       I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end

      I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
