r32 gtst is 10 psi. i know because i have one.

r33 gtst and r34 gtt is 5 psi. i know because i have one. if the 33 and 34 was 7 psi, you could never have 5psi below 4500rpm as is the factory setup.

A 3rd option is to install a different wastgate actuator and the good news is the R32GTST item is exactly the same as the R34 except the spring inside is set for 10psi. R32 actuators can be hard to find but I think it’s the best option for this level of modification as boost spikes and boost creep are eliminated.

could be incorrect though

my numbers are straight off the R32 and R33 service manuals

they indicate the minimum boost pressure before the actuator will start to open, that is, the minimum possible boost

HR32 is 12psi

R33 gtst AUTO is 5psi with 2psi bleed at 4500rpm by std solenoid, but base actuator is 5psi

R33 gtst MANUAL is 7psi with 2psi bleed at 4500rpm by std solenoid, but base actuator is 7psi

the service manuals could be wrong, but it is unlikely

didn't the rb25det and rb20det's have different actuators?

I'll be doing the same as you soon maddowse, did you find one?

yes i got it all done today !! i put new spark plugs in added the 3" bellmouth dump pipe and 3" cosco cat ,

also installed a blitz intercooler.

OK for starters i don't need to change the actuator as the boost didn't climb at all it was showing 12.5 on the guage before i installed everything and now its solid on 12psi .

the car now runs smoother (spark plugs) and also its now quieter ?? i thort opening the exhaust would make it louder but it hasn't and doesn't bother me one bit, response is still there so the cooler hasn't affected spool up time so all in all a good result . as for more power ill get back to you as its wet and I'm ether getting a engine light or if i turn off traction control I'm hitting rev limiter in seconds so i guess its hard to tell until its dry.

it doesnt seem to have any more power but i dont know if its just the gains are too small to notice or that maybe because its so much quieter now i feel i thinks its not i dont know , i should do a dyno run theres no point as i dont know what it was before the upgrades!!!.

can anyone claify for me i want to know if theres any boost leaks but i cant hear anything and the boost doesnt drop when the foots down but i dont feel the thrust of the turbo as much (agin it maybe because i cant hear the exhaust so my mind is tricking me or i could have been expecting huge gains so it feels less than i expected !!.

also i disconected the battery to put it in learn mode if that changes anything ??

sorry but but i am a noobe

r&r would be very noticeable mate, it will run like shit and be very unpleasant. O2 sensor will probably be due for a change, they only last like 60000km, but it won't impact on power, just on your freeway fuel economy.

Problem for us is there's no aftermarket O2 sensors like on the r33's and r32's, so we have to buy nissan, which are $200+.

You could dyno it and see if it's putting out the right amount of power by comparing it to the dyno thread. Or drive a friends corolla or whatever for some perception aligning :verymad:

ps: remember oil change after dyno mate

apparently mate, it's one of those things we're all meant to know lol. its mentioned here and there in the oils thread.

i think it's because the engine is pushed hard and gets hot, so its treated a bit like a drag or circuit day
