Which amp out of these 2?

Looking at buying an amp from the states, which one sounds better?

Brand new Sony XM-460GTX 4 Channel 600W

or

Near new Clarion APA4204 4 Channel

Both amps are just under $200 shipped to AUS.

The sony has more power by i think about 10watts per chan if running 4, and is brand new...

However the clarion has less power for each channel and is near new, but overall in my experience with clarion and sony id take the clarion over sony any day...

Thanks Blade, I don't know how much the clarion amp retails for, but Sony Australia quoted me $600 for their amp! Read a few reviews, not exceptional but are OK. On the other hand, Clarion amps speak for themself...

i convinced my friend to buy the 2chan 50rms x 2 version of the clarion amp for $99 when they had a sale at hifi supermarket.

it sounds very nice.

for $200 i'd go the clarion hands down over sony.

i wouldnt even go near sony if another choice presented itself...clarion for sure.

$200 is pretty good price for that one.

I wouldn't buy either but if I had to buy one it would be the Clarion.

Personally out of those 2 i would go the clarion as well

sony car audio isnt the best quality............ and i can vouch for the clarion amps as i have a APX 400.4 in my car they give a really good crystal quality for sound

i say go the clarion

Thanks for the feedback guys. I ended up buying locally, JVC KS-AX6300 for $200 in excellent condition.

Not sure about their amps, but everything else I've used from JVC were faultless...
