That is a VERY cheesy grin there Dino... been a while for you has it mate!

Yeah, run it on a day I can make it :P

How'd you guys go for numbers in the end?

We were shooting for 25pp, in the end we had 23, so that's cool. Probably wouldn't want any more ppl than that, 'cos the queue gets a leeetle bit too long

Thanks for coming guys, I think the Nissan products certainly were the class of the day :D

Was there anything you guys would like to suggest to make the next event better?

Kevin, we have to figure out a way to do timing with out the need for accredited Clerk of course, Marshalls etc. :(

How about we time it but don't rank the results? :uh-huh:

Oh, an espresso machine would go down a treat too!!! :coffee:

Thanks again,

Dino :D

haha yeah an espresso machine.. i definitely needed a coffee around mid-morning to keep the enthusiasm going! and next time i'm going to find somewhere better than maccas to eat lunch (reckon any pizza joints deliver to eastern creek?)

Errr...well "timing" can be a very good teaching aid for driver training :) And an espresso machine is actually, strangely enough, not a problem, since the pit building has powerpoints and a sink inside...so I think I can do the espresso machine. The timing, well... :D

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
    • yeah the south island is stunning, the wifes family is from the west coast down there so we were down there for christmas.   a high 10 would be a stretch but hilarious if it happened. fourth gear is its party gear, i don't have traction to throw more at it at lower speeds. I've found passengers don't think its that fast, i think it's because it has a digital dash so they can't see the needle move so they have no sense of speed
    • You have (externally anyway) a lot of patience!  At the very least your patience has rewarded you financially even if you decided you were over it!! I only just read your first experience of seeing the car, that would have been amazing!  Well documented too! It must be exciting knowing there's only 10 months left until you can get it on a boat and on it's way!!!???
