Hey guys need help choosing a boost controller. Just want to know what everyone recommends, its going into a r34 gtr. Currently looking at the apexi avcr or the blitz i-colour.

What do you guys think is better off or what other boost controller is out there?

Thanks

turbotech manual boost controller. a fraction of the price of the electronic ones and will work pretty much as good, just doesn't have the wank factor of electronic ones, and then you can put the few hundred dollars you saved into something that will result in you having more power than if you had gone the electronic controller.

But on an R34 GTR it's all about wank factor! Electronic ftw! I love my 'little red button from Men In Black that makes the car go sooooper fast"! :(

Seriously, electronic is awesome. Turbosmart eBoost II or Greddy Profec Bspec II. Both expensive, both win. I have the Greddy; Marc is probably right, it is all wank factor, so if you just want a cheap alternative then manual boost controllers do the job well and are a fraction of the price. However, with a manual boost controller you can't wire in a switch/button to switch from 7psi low boost to 18psi high boost in a fraction of a second if you want the extra power to overtake or something.

Manual FTW!

Just don't get the dodgy ebay China copies & you should be fine.

and don't get a turbosmart one. i know plenty of people who have had issues with them not holding boost, or not releasing boost (resulting in the wastegate staying open and you have no boost when you accelerate again)
