Krishy, that would have been Brent? He is the comp sec. I assume that would be filling in the full entry form for the sprint (Which was held back until the supp regs that are attached to it were approved by CAMS)

Which leads me on to your post Matty. The supp regs and formal sprint entry form are now available as a PDF on the Skynats website. Link here.. http://www.skylinenationals.com/Entry_and_...ls_12_09_10.pdf

It would be preferable for these to be back with CSA prior to the event as the less of these we have to deal with on Sunday the better off everyone will be and the quicker we get out on to the track to have our fun.

Ahh thanks for clearing that up for me Paul...i can certainly fill out the CAMS supp form and get that emailed....can you or Brent just send me their email address please....

so all i now need to do is fill the supp form and get that emailed???

I could not answer that one for you at this stage given that that infor comes in when people send the supp regs back. Also that is in the domain of the comp sec rather than me (I am the editor of the CSA magazine but I get co-opted for anything required to get the Nats over the line)

NEED TO KNOW:

Anyone who is coming to the presentation dinner who has any specific dietary requirements? need to know asap!!!!!!

otherwise you will just have to make do.

Cheers

OK, all sprint entrants should get a phone call from the comp sec asking for this but if any have not had it could they please go here http://www.skylinenationals.com/Entry_and_...ls_12_09_10.pdf and download the sprint supp regs, fill in the formal sprint entry form and send it back ASAP. If you want to scan and email it (It might be best) send me a PM and I will send you and email address to send it to.

This is only required for people entering the sprint part of the nationals.

    • Hi everyone, I'm generally new to DIY projects, and I've browsed this forum and watched a lot of youtube videos but still have a few questions   Firstly, how does spray painting interior hold up? in particular like vinyl parts, my current mode of thinking is to use methyl spirits to take off original paint, clean/prep well, light coats, no primer or clear coat    Secondly, what is recommended for the headliner and, for example (my car is a r34), the A-pillars which are some kind of other fabric material, do you think I would be successful at retrimming these? or would it be better to go down the blacking out via Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Paint    Any other advice / tips / tricks for refreshing/modernising these interiors?    Thanks

    • Just note that when trying to find a short in a globe power supply, it is best to disconnect the globe as it will allow current through to earth. With it unplugged it is easier not to get confused. Also with the r32 wiring, the high beam has 2 power supplies (one when you push the switch forward and the other when you temporarily pull it back; so if it is the high beam blowing you will need to trace both circuits

    • That's a short. Find the short. It will be somewhere between that fuse and the headlight. Start by removing the plugs from the back of the headlight and dimmer switches, and measure resistance to earth. Supply side (power from the fuse) should have none. The other side should have resistance compatible with whatever globe(s) is there (which is relatively easy to say for a normal globe, perhaps not as easy to say for LEDs). Anyway, if you have very low resistance, you defo have a short. Then you just have to run the wiring like you're running the bowel of a dog (on the operating table) that has swallowed something it wasn't supposed to.
