lol, i have no tyres left, my rotors are warped, and i have little left of my brake pads..

and i managed a 1min37, i felt quicker..but eh, time to upgrade.

Starlet ran about 10 laps in the 1:31s...theres your goal

Any official timing posted anywhere?

Saw some pretty stock cars running 1.05s and the like on the sheets I saw :)

apparently i ran 1:12 in the starlet :P

Now for October :)

Im sure i have more, you were out in the quick group with the Willall Stuff most of the day wern't you?

That's a bit harsh guys. Without knowing what the issue was, you are blaming the organisers.

If you on't know what the facts are, you shouldn't open your mouth.

Anyhoo,

The SAU SA contingent in this event was HUGE, and you guys walked away with 90 percent of the trophy's. Well done.

Huge Thanks to Shane and Ruby, and everyone else who helped us out on the day, and for making this event over both days, such a fantastic event.

We truly appreciated all the help from your team, and hope that you guys had as much fun as we did.

The SAU NSW team have big shoes to fill for the next one at Goulburn and Wakefield, but having already met the president at Eastern Creek last year, I am pretty confident it's going to be another big one.

Thanks again to all of you.

I think you're the one being harsh. Where did I blame the organisers? I merely asked how lap times could have been messed up so badly as clearly Josh's Starlet at the level it's at is not capable of 1:12's. Had I come in and said....

"Wow, that's crazy, the organisers must have been watching TV instead of the track all day"

You would have had grounds for your comment. If you flare up over the smallest little comment, especially not directed at you, perhaps you should listen to your own advice? I don't take kindly to being told to shut my mouth when nothing offensive has come out of it

That being said, thanks for organising a fantastic day, I had a blast as I'm sure everyone else who attended did! Was great to see such a broad range of Skylines out there on the day

Not as yet, will be working through some more tonight and putting them up, I still have a card I havn't downloaded as well, so will get onto them before I crash out tonight

      I mean, if you were to move the jacking points away from the original location, that is, away from the wheels and closer to the centreline of the car, then it will be more likely to overbalance and tip off the supports. Same as we talked about before. I was talking about moving for-aft. If the sill is bent outward or inward, then the car would obviously look unstraight from the outside. Hopefully that hasn't happened either. Again, you can do comparative measurements from the chassis rails to see if there is much deflection.

      Can you elaborate what you mean with your first sentence? I meant move as in the bulge kinda seemed like it got pulled "outward" meaning it got pulled down and to the side with the jacking rail itself, so the load bearing bulge now sits lower than usual and is not level with the sill on the other side of the jack point. Either that or the jacking rail just got pushed in a good bit.

      As well as being risky WRT tipping off anyway. Yeah, I wouldn't expect it to move. Just measure from the rear one to the front one on the good side, then measure that same length on the wrecked side. You will find the notches in the pinchweld, and the jacking pad. Just spray a spot of marker paint or something there.

      but any other area than the bulge you are talking about will just cave in then? The front driver side is pretty bent so I don't know if that will work the way it is now. I can still kinda make out where that bulge is/was but it looks like the position of it also changed due to all the mistreatment? Hard to tell

      Absolutely. Look very closely at the photo (of yours) that I took my second snip of. See how the sill is thicker material right behind the pinchweld, where the two notches are? That is the factory reinforced area for lifting. That pad is supposed to carry the weight. The factory jack (go look at it, and how it interfaces with the car at the pinchweld) shows you exactly how the load is carried from the car to the jack to the ground.
